BARNESVILLE, Ga. – Dove Award nominee Wendy Word + forgiven has another award nomination to add to their ever-increasing resume.

The popular duo was recently informed that they have been nominated for the Sunrise Award in the 2009 SGN Scoops Diamond Awards.  The Sunrise Award honors artists and individuals who have risen to new levels in their career.

“WOW!  We are so humbled to have been nominated for such a great award,” mentioned Wendy Word.  “We have always been a fan of the Diamond Awards, and now to be nominated is such an honor!  Thank you to everyone who voted for us this year!”

Wendy Word + forgiven are joined in the Sunrise Award category by Faithful Touch, Paul’s Journey, The Ladd Family, and The Peaceful Hearts.

The 2009 SGN Scoops’ Diamond Awards have moved to a new location and date for this year. The awards presentation will take place at the inaugural Branson Gospel Music Convention.  The show will take place on Thursday, July 16, 2009 in Branson, Missouri at the Branson Convention Center.  The awards program will precede the Thursday evening concerts and will begin at 6:00 p.m.

The popular duo has recently been in the studio working on their brand new recording.  The currently-untitled release is being produced by Dove Award-winning producer Kevin Ward (Janet Paschal, Lillie Knauls, Hope’s Call).

Fans are encouraged to be listening for Wendy Word + forgiven’s new single – “You & Jesus” – which was shipped to Southern Gospel radio this month.
